Day 29 - Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

The Columbia river Gorge is an incredible place to visit. We stayed at Memaloose State Park which was on the river and spent several days touring the area. Our first day we visited the Maryhill Art Museum which was built on the Columbia river by Oregon businessman Sam Hill. Sam also built an exact replica of the famous Stonehenge monument in England and is buried near the site.
This area is famous for its wind mills. These were spotted
from the entrance to the Maryhill Museum.

We visited the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center
and had an opportunity to see this raptor show.

Raptors are the predatory birds like owls, hawks, falcons and eagles
